Addicted to fashion.
Put students into groups of six to eight. Tell each group to divide itself into two halves and to decide which half is A and which is B. Tell the A groups that they must argue in favour of using animal products, such as fur and leather, in fashion design and tell the В groups that they must argue against. Give the groups a few minutes to think of their arguments and how they might counter the other group’s arguments. Then allow a few minutes for the debate. Afterwards ask one student from each group to summarise the main points both teams made.

Tell students that they are going to listen to a| podcast about Christopher Raeburn, a British designer. Ask them to make notes about what they hear. Play the recording. Then tell students to compare their notes in small groups, adding any information they missed. In feedback, get each group to tell you one thing they learnt about the designer.
