Dynamic Input Display.
AutoCAD performs all the actions that you assign to it. You interact with AutoCAD by using the tools and menu options that invoke the AutoCAD commands. A command is a monosyllabic instruction that you give to AutoCAD, telling it to do something, such as draw a Circle (the Circle tool in the Draw Ribbon panel) or move the object (the move tool in the Edit Ribbon panel). The entire dialog is displayed on the Command Line.

Every time you invoke a command, either by typing it or selecting a parameter or tool, AutoCAD responds by presenting you with messages on the command line and a dynamic input display, or by displaying a dialog window. The messages in the Command Line, or in the dynamic Input display, often tell you what to do next, or they may display a list of available options. A single command often presents a series of messages that you answer to complete the command.
