   The activity sheets in this book can be used to provide written work for reinforcement of phonics concepts. The activities also serve as a measure to track students’ progress in phonics and phonemic awareness.
Phonics is a method of teaching students how to read by learning the sounds that each letter and group of letters make. When the students understand these letter-sound relationships, successful reading can occur.
Phonemic awareness is the realization that words are composed of separate sounds and the ability to hear and manipulate those sounds.
This book introduces students to pre-kindergarten and kindergarten language arts standards in small increments. Each activity is designed to meet specific standards necessary for reading mastery.
