English World 2, Grammar Practice Book, Bear N., 2009.

  In this book you will find a variety of activities which practise the grammar points in Pupil's Book 2 and Workbook 2. There are also activities which practise writing skills and phonics/pronunciation. These activities can be used in class or for homework.
The children can keep their Grammar Practice Books and use them for reference in later levels of English World. In this way, they develop good study skills and make an important step to becoming independent learners.

Words for family members vary between English-speaking cultures. Grandpa is used extensively in North America and Canada as an informal term for grandfather. The term Grandad would be more common in the UK. Likewise, Grandma is used in familiar contexts in North American English-speaking countries whereas Gran, Granny, Nan or Nan(n)a would be more common terms in the UK. North American English speakers often address their mothers as Mom (or Mommy for very young children) whereas Mum (or Mummy for very young children) is more typical in the UK. Dad is used extensively in both contexts.

l chose a course at my local university because it's more convenient. I’ve been living at home this year, which means I've been able to save a lot of money and I won't be so much in debt when I finish. Some of my friends are living in halls of residence and have to do part-time jobs to help pay for their accommodation. My parents understand that I've got a lot of coursework so I don't really have to do chores at home. I think it's good to have the support of your family at uni.
