Living and Nonliving Things.
There are many different kinds of living things all around us: animals, plants, you, and me. Living things can breathe air, grow, and change. They all need food and water.

It's important to take care of living things. We can put out food for animals. Plants can grow tall to get sunlight. People need to eat and drink to stay healthy.

It's important to look after nonliving things, too. Toys, bicycles, dolls, and games are all nonliving things. They don't need food or water. They can't grow or breathe. But we need to take care of them. We see and use lots of nonliving things every day.
