The members of Coldplay are from Britain. The singer is Chris Martin. Jonny Buckland plays the guitar, Guy Berryman plays the bass guitar, and Will Champion plays the drums.
Chris Martin and Jonny Buckland started the band in 1996 when they were students at a university in London. At first their name was Pectoralz, then Starfish, but they changed it to Coldplay in 1997. They became famous in 2000 with the song "Yellow.” Their first album, Parachutes, won a Grammy in 2002.
